The mosques of Agra are famous for the regal Mughal architecture and intricate design. Jama Masjid, Moti Masjid and Akbari Masjid are the famous mosques of Agra. Moti Masjid in Agra Fort is a fine example of Mughal architecture. The domes of Moti Masjid look velvety, built in white marble. Shah Jahan built the Moti Masjid. Moti means “pearl” and the mosque got its name because if it’s pearly glow.

Itamd-ud-Daulah is a nice edifice in Agra with ornate decoration and a royal architecture. Though, this is not a mosque but nevertheless a holy place in Agra, which you must visit. The intricate inlay works of the mausoleum are precursors to the ornaments of Taj Mahal.
