The weather and climate of Agra is as unique as its geographical location. As Agra is located in the tropical climatic zone, the people of Agra experience extremities of climate. Summer in Agra is very hot and scorchy. Day temperature often rises beyond 45 degree Celsius. Warm dry wind is the basic feature of summer in Agra. For its high temperature in summer, Agra is also known as one of the hottest cities in India. On the other hand, as the city is located in the Northern part of the country, the winter is chilly here. Day temperature ranges between eight degrees to six degrees and in the night it often goes below four degree Celcius. Strong cold winds blow throughout the day and cold waves occur quite often.
However, the most important thing about the weather and climate of Agra is that you would feel comfortable here specially in summer because of the dense forest areas in its surroundings which include large number of trees like Babul, Peepal, Neem and Ber. The day time weather during winter is cold but enjoyable too. Large number of tourists visit Agra during their winter vacation to experience the coldness of the historic sites that have been made of various rocks and stones.
Speaking about weather and climate of Agra it must be mentioned here that the best time to visit Agra are spring and autumn because the weather remain most moderate at that time.
